Little Bird

So I bought this absolutely adorable bird over at Bella Interiors. I love it, I'm thinking that birds are my thing now. And Bella's is so great little pricey but soooooo fun. And they are having their annual yard sale next week.HIGH FIVE! Oooh need to tell D, which will probably happen tomorrow as we are going to a major yard sale in the morning.... YAY! Ok so yes a little over excited but man she is a great barginer she can talk down any price and charm her little way into people's hearts that they practically want to give her things for free... like I said she is freak'n amazing and I love her! Back to the bird... I don't have a picture right now but will post it soon actually it looks a lot like the one D has by her piano except mine is a light green.

Jumping subjects I saw this awesome feature for wainscot for a living room on Remodelaholic from Soulstyle... SO cool! click here to check this out! http://www.soulstyle.ca/word/living-room-wainscot
I can't believe how wonderful it looks on the walls and on the windows what a neat idea! I wish I knew how to put the actual pictures on my blog, but I'll figure it out one of these days, anyways check out soulstyle's blog she has some wonderful  ideas!

A new day.

I'm really starting to like this whole blogging thing. At first I thought there was really nothing to say, but not true at all. In fact it's a little addicting, exspecially wondering if anyone has read my posts or not. Crazy business!  Well today I wanted to show off a small line of hair bobbies that I made. Hope whom ever is reading will enjoy!
In this picture below, the three pairs are for my wonderful sister and her daughters, aren't they adorable!

These ones I'm thinking about setting up an etsy account
to sell, but  I'm really getting attached to them. :)

This last picture are of  my paper clip book markers which I absolutely adore!
I made these for my sisters and niece.

Hair bobbies and paper clips..... who knew they could be so much fun!

Living Room

Well we signed our offer last night for the house! YAY! I took pictures of the house and I have to say I am loving it more and more. There is a lot to do for the house but I am so excited.  So last night i looked through a ton of pictures for the color I want in the house especially the living room which right now feels like a cedar chest. The walls are all wood paneling and the floor is also wood slats I'm not sure what you
call those but you can get them at Home Depot. Anyways, it's a cute room but too dark for my self.

But I am loving the huge windows!

Looking around I saw this room that is paneled and painted, exactly what I want to do in here.
I love the color, I think I might go a shade lighter or maybe a little more grey I haven't decided yet. but these are the colors Iwant to accent with.
I love blue and orange mixes.
Plan: Paint walls sky or powder blue, I think I will paint the floor, ceiling, and window trim white. I'll post pictures as we start getting closer to moving in the house and starting some rennovations.

Sewing?? What's that?

So I have been looking a lot at different blogs today, mostly home improvement and diy slipcovers for our sectional. Yikes! I have never been a good sewer.... really I have no patience for it.. and yet I am looking at do it yourself slipcovers *slap on the forehead* what am I thinking. Well I guess it stems from my hubby and I going to an awesome antique store that was absolutely huge over in Idaho Falls, ID so many things that my itchy grabby fingers wanted. And we come to this beautiful lamp that has a silk lampshade with the most wonderful piping and beads, and the hubby's comment was "you should learn to sew better"..... well at first it was a hit to my ego, but then I thought well if I sewed at all then I probably would have reason to hold a grug... but non the less I started thinking " ya know he's right." So long story short I would like to sew more and create beautiful things.... hmmm we'll see. I guess one thing at a time.

Hello to all!

I started this blog so that I had a place to escape from crazy children and have a place to put down my ideas, since paper in my house tend to either get lost or destroyed. :) So here I go......  well tonight my hubby and I are hopefully signing the offer we put on a house. IT IS SO CUTE! It is a rather smallish house (895 sqft) but the yard is huge and fenced (bonus!) and has a nice size garage and little shed. It needs some tlc and that is the most exciting part! So hopefully in the next few days or should I say week (just to be on the safe side) to take pictures of the inside to show the transformation we are planning! GOOD LUCK to us!
